Inaugural Colloquium
The AI Research Team at the Academy of Korean Studies will hold the first colloquium as part of the project, “An Interdisciplinary Study on AI in Korean Society: Toward an Expansion of Korean Studies.”
The event will be held via ZOOM and requires prior registration.

* What You’ll Learn:
This lecture begins with an overview of the history of artificial intelligence and current research trends, followed by an exploration of AI’s developmental trajectory with a focus on artificial neural networks (ANN), deep learning, and large language models (LLMs).
In particular, it analyzes the challenges of artificial intelligence as an Artificial Moral Agent (AMA), the confirmation bias found in neural networks, and the limitations of stochastic information processing in large language models, while proposing alternative perspectives through the lens of Eastern philosophical approaches.
